Who Is Artist?: Puppet Work

A Project created to allow myself to discuss my concerns about being an artist, or the state of the current art world. The fear of judgement and the ‘trending’ art work having some sense of control over creators, feeling as though an artist is not an individual, but rather a creation by others, an artist becomes who the audience wish them to be, through current events, and through the standards of those days. Essentially, an artist is a puppet, unless they chose to cut themselves free and no longer be concerned of judgement, although this comes with the risk of themselves not being able to use their hobby as a career, which is what all artists are, dream chasers, some make it by being different, others make it by following the crowd and having one quirk to them. This series of work illustrates that through the control of the puppeteer has over the artist.
